MacroEconomics ( 3 TC3 Credits)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
- This course is an alternative for the state required economics course.
- Designed to accommodate the college bound student.
- This is a semester long course that rewards the successful student with three college credits from Tompkins Cortland Community College.
- Students may take both Micro and Macro and earn 6 college credits from TC3.
PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS (ECON 121)
Content: An analytical introduction to alternative macroeconomic theories of national output and income determination. Topics include the business cycle, unemployment, inflation, national income accounting, fiscal policy, deficits and debt, monetary policy, the Federal Reserve system, supply-side policy, theory and reality. This course is expressly designed to serve the needs of students intending to transfer to a four-year institution. This course is accredited through Tompkins Cortland Community College for three (3) hours of college credit.
This course satisfies the Economics requirement for the senior year.
